India Strikes Back Hard – Operation Sindoor Unleashed on Terror Havens in Pakistan and PoK

New Delhi | May 7, 2025 –

            In a powerful and precise counter-terror operation, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Sindoor', striking deep into Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 innocent lives.

       


            The Indian Army, in coordination with the Indian Air Force, successfully targeted nine terror camps linked to Pakistan-based terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). One of the key highlights of the mission was the shooting down of a Pakistani JF-17 fighter jet using an Akash surface-to-air missile, sending a strong message about India’s resolve and readiness.

Strikes at the Heart of Terrorism

           Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, flanked by Col. Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, briefed the nation, stating,

           “Our intelligence pinpointed the perpetrators and their planners. The Indian state has exercised its sovereign right to dismantle terror infrastructure.”


Among the locations hit were:

Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur (JeM HQ)

Markaz Taiba, Muridke (LeT HQ)

Mehmoona Joya, Sialkot (HM site)

Camps in Muzaffarabad and Kotli (JeM, HM, LeT)


Buildings in Muridke were visibly damaged, and reports suggest heavy casualties among terrorist operatives.


India United: Political Leaders Rally Behind Armed Forces

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally monitored the operation overnight, showcasing hands-on leadership during a high-stakes conflict.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chirag Paswan, and CM Revanth Reddy echoed their support.

Sharad Pawar, Tejashwi Yadav, and Lalu Prasad Yadav also lauded the army’s precision and bravery.

Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi wrote: “Jai Hind, Hindustan Zindabad.”


Nation on High Alert: Airports Shut, Security Tightened

Srinagar Airport remains closed.

Flights rerouted around Pakistani airspace; major disruptions reported.

Delhi, Hyderabad, Jammu under heightened alert with mock drills and paramilitary deployment.

Educational institutions across border districts in Jammu province have been shut.

J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha confirmed the evacuation of vulnerable border villagers:

 “We will ensure safety, shelter, and all necessities. The government is fully prepared.”


International Support & Diplomatic Signals

In a significant show of solidarity, Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, affirmed:

“Israel supports India’s right to self-defence. Terrorists will find no place to hide.”

Meanwhile, international carriers including Korean Air and Lufthansa have started avoiding Pakistani airspace, underlining the gravity of the situation.

India Warns of Retaliation: 'Gaza-Like Consequences' If Provoked Again

        In a chilling warning to Pakistan’s terror sympathizers, Indian strategic experts and online voices have compared the situation to Gaza, predicting catastrophic consequences if provocation continues.

        “Pakistan supported terrorism. Now they’ll pay,” reads a top-trending post on social media under the hashtag #OperationSindoor.
